Barcelona is the capital of the northern Spanish region of Catalonia, and the perfect place for a Spanish immersion course. Catalan culture has many distinct elements to distinguish it from the rest of Spain. At a Spanish immersion school in the heart of Barcelona students study standard Spanish, and have the option to take classes about Catalan culture as well. After class, students are able to explore the city's quirky architecture, the busy street life, and the magnificent beach at Barceloneta.
