Global Educator Pathway Fellow

About the Fellowship

The Global Educator Pathway (GEP) Fellowship is a transformative professional development program designed to cultivate globally minded educators dedicated to promoting equity and empathy within their school communities. This fellowship prepares educators to empower students to thrive in an interconnected world, offering a blend of synchronous and asynchronous professional development sessions. Participants will explore the essential knowledge, dispositions, and skills required to foster global competency and weave global education into their teaching practices. Fellows will also collaborate to apply their newly acquired knowledge and skills by integrating global competency into their curriculum. Educators will implement innovative strategies, receive constructive feedback, and refine their learning materials, enhancing their effectiveness as global educators.

  • Interested in enhancing their global education practice
  • Committed to improving education in their classrooms
  • Eager to share their insights and experiences
  • From diverse backgrounds across grade levels and subject areas

  • Application Deadline: Friday, January 31, 2025
  • Fellowship Kick-off: Friday, February 14, 2025  (in-person, 1:20-3:30)
  • Fellowship Sessions: Wednesdays, February 19 - April 2, 2025 (virtual, 4:00-5:30)
  • Global Education Showcase: TDB

Global Educator of the Year

The Global Educator of the Year Award acknowledges exceptional educators who provide high-quality global learning opportunities for students. They encourage students to learn about different cultures, create a diverse classroom, and inspire global competence. The recognition is an opportunity to honor teachers who have made a significant contribution to global education.

Ready to nominate? 

Do you know an educator who has excelled in one or multiple domains? If so, they may be eligible for this award. To nominate them, please fill out a brief form that includes a description of the domain(s) in which they have demonstrated excellence and the nominee's contact information. Nominees will be notified in May.

Nominations will open in Spring 2025.
