DCPS recognizes educators who go above and beyond in the field of global education. We appreciate their commitment and dedication to incorporating global engagement and intercultural learning into their daily instruction creating rich learning experiences and opportunities for their students.
The Global Educator Pathway Fellowship supports educators who are the DCPS Equity Framework and SEAD Targets by fostering the development of globally minded educators who can infuse equity and empathy into their classrooms. Fellows will participate in a two-part fellowship, where they will develop their own global competence and gain tools to develop their own globally competent curriculum. In addition to the Global Educator certificate and badging educators who complete the fellowship will will receive professional learning units(PLUs) and special consideration for future global learning opportunities.

The Global Educator of the Year Award acknowledges exceptional educators who provide high-quality global learning opportunities for students. They encourage students to learn about different cultures, create a diverse classroom, and inspire global competence. The recognition is an opportunity to honor teachers who have made a significant contribution to global education.
Do you know an educator who has excelled in one or multiple domains? If so, they may be eligible for this award. To nominate them, please fill out a brief form that includes a description of the domain(s) in which they have demonstrated excellence and the nominee's contact information. Nominees will be notified in May.
